Chris Fishgold versus Nicolas Joannes is the latest match to be added to the already stacked Cage Warriors 68 card at the Liverpool Echo Arena on May 3rd.

Local hero Fishgold is unbeaten after ten professional bouts. The submission specialist has gone 3-0 with Cage Warriors- defeating Olivier Pastor last time out by way of unanimous decison after three hard rounds in Newcastle.

His next opponent is another experienced Frenchman. Nicolas Joannes, fights out of Academie Pythagore- the team of French MMA pioneers the Fernandez brothers. Joannes is one of the most explosive strikers in the European featherweight ranks- mixing lightning speed with genuine power. In his last seven fights- he has five first round finishes; four by way of KO. If the knees don’t get you – the straight right hand will.

This is a tough test for Fishgold and he will have to be at the top of his game to prevent Joannes from performing one of his spectacular back somersault celebrations on Merseyside.

Cage Warriors 68 will be headlined by Fishgold’s Next Generation team mate Danny Roberts’ clash with Jim Wallhead.
